This is the TextOpal privacy policy. We wrote it in plain language. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and we do not use it for anything.
02 · What we collect
Almost nothing. When you visit the site, our server sees the standard technical details of the connection — your IP address and your browser type. That happens on every website on the internet, and we do not do anything more with it.
03 · How the tools work
Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your text, files, and passwords are processed locally on your device. Nothing is ever sent to a server.
04 · Local storage
We remember your theme, your language, and your tool settings. They live in your browser's local storage — only on your device — and you can wipe them any time from your browser settings.
05 · Cookies
We do not use them. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, nothing. If you ever see a cookie, it is not ours.
06 · Analytics
We do not use analytics. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no trackers, no session recording. Nobody is watching what you do here.
07 · Files
When you upload a file (.txt, .pdf, .docx, .json, and others), it is read by your browser right on your device. The file is never uploaded to a server — not even a copy.
08 · Passwords
The password generator uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) — the same secure random generator browsers use for encryption. Everything is local: passwords are created on your device and never leave it.
09 · Children
We do not collect data from anyone, including children. There is nothing here for a child to give away, so there is nothing to worry about.
10 · Your rights
Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to access, delete, or export. If you want every trace gone, clearing this site's storage in your browser does the job.
11 · Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page always shows the latest version. We do not collect email addresses, so we cannot notify you — just check back here once in a while.
